Clinical Psychologist

Lyn is a clinical psychologist with over 25 years combined experience in private and public sector organisations including universities and Queensland Health. She has worked extensively in the sexual health field with the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex and Queer (LGBTIQ+) communities. Lyn has also worked with individuals, couples and families seeking to reduce suffering in life.

In her therapeutic practice, she bridges the dynamic convergence of Buddhist Psychology with Western Psychology, a field that has continued to grow in relevance and impact over the last 20 years. Her style is to use a collaborative model to explore the changes you are seeking, to work out what you are able to influence and change and ultimately help you to decide and implement the best strategies to achieve this. On offer is a host of different evidence based approaches to assist your journey, and these are dependent on your needs and what you feel resonates best with you.
As collaboration is the preferred way of working, she will seek regular feedback as the work progresses to ensure a good therapeutic fit and satisfactory progress towards the goals you have set.

Past experience suggests that the therapeutic journey is intensely individual. Her goal is to work with you earnestly to honour your unique goals and needs.
